why do you lower a car?
hello all!
extreme newbie here. i have a bone stock '06 IS350 and i wonder if i'm missing something.
i see that many here have lowered their cars. what's the reason for that? excuse my ignorance, but i have no idea. is it to make it more aerodynamic? is it for better handling? is it to adjust to a specific modification? is it for cosmetic reasons?
again, excuse my ignorance. i did a search and i didn't find anything and i would love to know the answer.
thanks in advance for your response.

It'll also help you get the ladies, kind of like AXE but better.
In scenario A:
You meet a hot chick at the bar, about to take her home when her fat friend decided to I need a ride home!
Hot chick's friend: Hiiii can I get a ride home?
You: Sorry Rosie, my ride will scrape if I take you too. *takes hot chick away, win*

Sdothunter, I see your point.
Kumquatism, thanks, but on some cars that have been lowered, I see very little gap between the tire and the fender. Does that cause problems? I would imagine you would have to handle speed bumps very carefully.
CMM03, maybe it’s just me, but your car looks beautiful both ways.
Aznxenon, since I’m a hot chick, I need to know scenario B. "how pick up a hot guy." *sultry wink*
Whtebeast, thanks, your car is beautiful too.
