I can hardly hear anything outside when my ML system is turned ON inside even at volume levels of just 30. That's Lexus's fault if she couldn't hear you while you honked. Our IS's are pretty sound proof.

Drivers like her should not be driving a luxury vehicle at all for something like this!

I'm wondering if somebody could explain to me what has to be replaced that is stated in the appraisal, I'm going to the body shop tomorrow to clear everything up to make sure everything is fixed, but I wanted a good idea of what they were gonna fix or replace.

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B3N...QwYzA4MWVmNzQw

EDIT: noticed google docs converted my pdf so I fixed the link.

The body shop at the Lexus dealership quoted $8K in damages and 12 days to fix, so in the mean time I'm cruising around in the soccer mom RX lol.
I just looked over your estimate and it seems about right. Everything that needs to be replaced mainly:

Hood, Fender, Headlamp, Front Bumper Cover and etc.

I'm curious though, Canada uses a term called "OE Surplus" and there is a footnote for "Replace OEM". Maybe you can ask your appraiser and get clarification on the terms. Here in California, an insurance company or shop is required to let you know if aftermarket or used/lkq parts are going to be used.

I'm shocked that in Canada, frame rate is the same as body & paint. Here in the US, they usually charge more per labor hour on frame. Here in Southern California, I see an average of:

$42-50 - Body & Paint
$55-70 - Frame
$70-110 - Mechanical
$28-34/Hr paint materials

Of course these labor rates are different all over the USA.

Wow what a stupid *****, you'd think you'd look both ways before turning... I mean cmon your easily visible behind that SUV before it turns in. People are just **** drivers, Imagine what would have happen if she would have pulled out further and you hit her door? Maybe it'll give her some extra caution next time she pulls out without looking like a teenager.

Yeah but her WINDOW was 3/4ths OPEN...

She should have been able to see the IS350 for approx 10 seconds before impact...

The SUV blocked her full view from approx. 1 second as it made its right turn..

Sad to see this happen.

IS-F driver is 100% at fault either way.

Yep, but it pretty much means nothing after the show she displayed heheh! Sort of more of a laughing joke when you see people in luxury cars that don't know how to drive properly.

Being in a class and demonstrating it that one belongs there, are two different things.

149MAX, you are extremely nice about this! All (or most) of you guys let us (girls) get away with murder haha. She definitely did look, so I don't think you should have felt that bad for her. Yes, feel bad for the F and your 2is. A couple weeks ago in NOVA, this guy with a lambo was hit by a 16 year old girl. $10,000 damage. He was thinking of just paying out of pocket so she wouldn't have to claim it and possibly be F'ed on insurance for a long time. I don't know if he did that, but damn she would be one lucky girl if he just paid for it.

I honestly miss my car lol. I've never not driven my car for this long, almost 2 weeks already! I don't even know when I'm going to get it back. Hopefully it gets all fixed up soon. I traded cars with my mom cuz the RX was too much of a gas guzzler, so I'm cruising in a honda civic for the time being, and holy no power, this car has absolutely no pull through the power band...

That is awful your car hits on same lexus car. I hope your car on repair and back on road. Happened in 2004 my old Honda Accord car was hit on SUV that I failed to yield after my old gym and my fault.
