Default Just bought a used IS 250 yesterday

Hello all,

I bought a used IS 250 yesterday with 48k miles on it. I love it so far. Did some research beforehand on the vehicle and called the dealership where the lease was maintained. Car checks out. 1 previous owner sounded good.

Today i notice that the back passenger window will not go down or up when i press the power window controls from the drivers seat. It will go down and up when i press the controls from the rear passenger side seat though. will this be covered under the 50k mile warranty? Can I go to any lexus dealer?

Also, how much does maintenance such as oil changes usually cost? I can do them myself but rather would have the dealership do it so it can be documented and my computer can acknowledge the change. Can I tell the dealer that i want synthetic oil so they dont put regular oil in .

Thanks in advance for the comments. I am a Lexus noob but I am loving it!

Easy fix. Search for dead battery and u will find how to fix those windows.

Congrats!

roll the window down about half way using the bottom on the back passenger door and then roll it up and hold it up for about 5 seconds and let it go. not sure about the oil change because i do my own for about $28. i use mobil 1 and an oem filter from the dealer plus i bought the filter wrench from a local snap on dealer. you can also take your own filter and oil to the deal and have them do it but they charge labor.

Welcome to CL! Glad you got the powered windows figured out. About the oil change, you can bring your own synthetic oil to the dealer vs. buying it from them to save some money.
