Default Popping noise over speed bumps

My car recently started to make a popping noise when I go over speed bumps. It's only coming from the front passenger wheel well. I tried looking around the tire to see if there's something wrong and I couldn't find anything wrong. Has anyone experienced this? I didn't find anything similar when I searched. It kinda worries me since my apartment complex has speed bumps everywhere.

I experienced the same issue on my 2006 IS350. Replaced front strut towers and shocks and it went away.

+1. Happened to me on a different car and this fixed it.

Default Oh...

I bought my car certified pre-owned, so I don't think it will be covered. Do you know how much it'll cost? How long can I continue to drive until I have to fix it? I just work 7 days a week so it's hard to be able to go to the stealership.

I'm confused - if your car is CPO, this will absolutely be covered if it's shocks and strut towers. Take it to a dealer, have them diagnose it, grab a loaner, and pick it up after a free repair.

CPO is an exclusionary warranty, meaning it covers EVERYTHING except:

Standard Upkeep Items:
accessory drive belts, batteries, filters, fluids, heating and vacuum hoses, lines and tubes, tires, spark plugs, windshield wiper blades (rubber component).

Wear and Tear:
Examples include brake pads, rotors, shoes and drums and manual clutches.

Body and Interior:
bumpers, carpet, chrome, dash cover and pad, door trim, handles, fabric, glass (including windshield), headliner, hinges, interior and exterior trim and moldings, cupholders, ashtrays, covers and vents, lightbulbs, nuts, bolts, clips, retainers and fasteners, paint, rust and corrosion damage, seat covers, shiny metals, weather stripping.

Accessories:
any non-Lexus accessories or modified components, including but not limited to wheels, radar detectors and cellular phones.

Other:
any component which has not failed, but that a repair facility recommends or requires to be replaced, repaired or adjusted.

Strut towers and shocks are not listed above, so they're covered.

I would think they should be covered under warranty since they aren't really a wear and tear item. Take it to the dealer and see what they say.

Thanks for explaining all that. Last time I went because of my creaking back windshield, they told me the warranty is only for something serious (-_-)' so they couldn't help me with that. I just called them and hopefully they can have someone call me back today.

Default Ok...

So one of their "specialists" just called me and said that I'll have to bring it in for them to know what sound it is. I just called them cause I wanted to verify what was covered and he said that struts were covered under CPO warranty but shocks and rubber brush covers (don't know what that is) are not covered.

If you take them the vehicle and they are able to recreate the noise, while they have the car up on the rack have them show you the cause of the problem. Just don't take their word for it that it is a shock...which you will be paying for out of pocket.
