New mirror shape runs straight across on the bottom. The old one dips down in the middle.
My new one does not light up, but neither did my old one.

Ok, I think mine is an old one. I'll have the dealer replace it before my warranty runs out. I noticed the vibration only on a couple of songs I play; I'm more bother by some small spots on the mirror.

Anyone else have an issue with hologram looking marks on the mirror glass? I've been trynna get a pic of it to post, but it doesn't come out in the pics.

Wonder if i can get a replacement with my CPO warranty..

Are you talking about the translucent, grayish color spots/marks? I have those; not really bad, but just look little dirty. I read somewhere on this forum there's no TSB for it unless it's bad.

What color is the replacement's compass readout? That's the last bit of green in the car and would love to get rid of it!

The original TSIB was to deal with the mirror vibrating while driving with sunroof open or windows down. This is when the mirror does it's worst fit. As far as bass from music, I don't know how far the dealer will go with that.

Yeah its kinda like that i guess. and mine look pretty bad! lol

The new mirror is made by Gentex and it does have a green read out like the previous mirror.

This new mirror is standard issue all 2010 and newer IS models. For 2011 and up, they omitted the compass. And for 2012, the homelink and on/off switch for the mirror is now backlit with white led.

Sorry to bump this up, but as you can see on mine, this has gotten UNBEARABLE. Not only do I have the nasty black spotting, but my rearview vibrates intensely. I did not know about the TSIB until it was too late, so I am looking to replace my mirror. Does anyone know what Gentex model is the replacement to this?

I really don't want to shell out some-odd 800 dollars for the faulty crap.

I would take the mirror out and see if the harness or part matches any of the pictures. The 2 mirrors look the same, but the first one has an additional part for $10 (I would get the one with additional part just in case :-)

This web site let's you pick which car you have and mirrors that would fit. Apparently the Gentax K5 would fit but has less buttons ...

I did look up on car-part.com to see if there were any available in my area, but I sadly didn't find any.

That's why I'm just coughing up the money for a new gentex one... now only if I could definitely figure out which of the two I am supposed to get. I know mine needs Autodimming, Compass & Homelink... the one that nosurprise posted doesn't have homelink.
