If it were me, I'd just cut the old connector off and solder on the new connector.

What I'm thinking of doing is just grabbing a pair of plug n play high temp wire harnesses (lumincs/nokya/etc all sell em) and pluging the bulbs into the harness... That way if anything else were to happen it the harness would take the hit.

We shall see...

GiantsFan, that's almost exactly what mine looks like. Did you replace the whole thing including the wires? Can you tell me how you did this? Thanks.

Yes, whole thing- new plastic connector and wires. I ordered the parts that Jeff posted earlier in this thread ... Cut off the old one off and crimped the new leads on..

I highly reccomend using a wire harness if you are using aftermarket bulbs!

Also, I haven't run halogen bulbs since I fixed my harness, went to HID fogs.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like an easy fix but how difficult do you think it would be to replace the entire harness? I can't see where the female end connects to. It looks like it's going up toward the headlight area. Does anyone know how to do this?

You cut the wires close to the connector. The leads you get from Lexus aren't that long! I don't even know if it's possible to replace the whole thing... (depends how the car is wired).

Cut the old connector and wires off and crimp/solder the new wire leads on!

I bought a replacement harness for $8, cut the old one off and attached the new one. Works perfectly now. Thanks!

Yes, Auto Zone should have it. I got mine at a local auto shop for under $10.

Do you happen to know the correct part number for the terminal repair kit for the ISF fog light connector? I am not getting any ISF matches for any of the three part numbers mentioned in this thread: 82998-24150, 82998-75010, or 82998-24250.

A wire on my right-side fog light broke very close to the connector. The connector housing and seals are showing age but are serviceable, I just need new terminals and a stub of harness to work a splice with.

Sheared wire at connector.

Wire stub is not long enough to splice with.

Clipped the other wire to disassemble the connector, but discovered that the existing terminals are crimped and soldered too well to re-work with new wire stubs.

IS F uses the same connector as the 2011-2013 IS sedan.

Thank you Jeff.
So is "82998-75010 - Terminal, Repair (Terminals with 500mm length of wire, 2 per connector)" the correct part?
