Anyone change their mid-range's yet?
Looking to change my front midranges when i install my components.
Just wondering if anyone has changed them yet and what size are they?
I read somewhere that the fronts are 2.5" and the rears are 4"
Anyone have a picture? I'm trying to see if I can go any bigger on the midranges.. what do you guys think?

You can try digging through this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...our-setup.html
I've searched.. Just trying to find a quick answer. Mid-ranges is the last missing piece to complete my system.

I changed to a 3 way component Hertz speaker system. I thought they were 3.75" mids in the front doors. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lex...with-pics.html

3.75" midranges sound better than 2.5".
Maybe I'll just take my door panel off next week and look at it before I order new midranges.
I read somewhere that they were 2.5" in the front. I just wanted to clarify before buying the wrong size midranges.

The stock mid is a 2.5". Here's a couple of pics when I had my door panels off.
I have a Pioneer 2.63" mid I want to try but haven't got around to it yet. You could probably even fit a 3" mid there with a custom bracket and by removing some of the plastic surround material on the backside of the door panel, but a 4" would be tough to get behind the door panel unless it was pretty shallow.
I have more pics of the mid and the mounting/panel if you want to see them. Too lazy to put them up tonight.

When you did the install did you have to run new wires to the speakers? Or did you use the wires from the factory amp?

you should run new wires if you want "true" mids. anyway, you will have to create your own mounting bracket if you do decide to venture onto this project. let us know how it goes. PS, don't follow too much on Sffd103's advice. his setup is VERY ambitious!!
