The difference between the non-sport and sport ECU is smaller than the difference between the sport ECU and the IS F ECU. The IS F ECU is well worth it, even if you already have the sport ECU.

Jeff
I'm writing only to share my personal experience regarding my 2013 F-Sport 350 and a 2008 IS-F. I was only able to drive the IS-F for about 25 min through some winding roads, city, and the highway whereby I doubled the speed limit for bit and here is my impression keeping in mind the F-Sport 350 of 2011 up share several of the same suspension components of the later model IS-F's...

At speed the F has a notable effort or firmness increase over the fs350 but its not huge by any means. If I were to rack and stack the increased effort for steering assist whereby 0 is no change (same as fs350) and 10 powered by Armstrong I'd give it 3. I like the 350 and this is just a bit firmer off center while not be enough to wear a person out on a long drive. It also is firmer at low speed where the 350 is actually too light for my liking.

And no I didn't toss it sideways for other testing but it was nice to feel how it drives. The unknown is if the steering ecu was upgraded, which is unlikely but who knows? Wheels, rotors and supposed CAI were the only mods observed. Car was on a square 19" by 35 setup.

JM2C if you have an F-Sport already the gains seem negligible unless you like to play and/or track the car. So, I'll be leaving it alone until the TCD LSD is installed and then I'll make a choice about upgrading for ECT playtime.

I feel like if I let someone drive my car before and after the change without telling them what the changes was that they would of not noticed the difference in the steering feel. When I was driving home from the Lexus dealership after they calibrated it, I was honestly thinking if maybe they switched out the -41 ECU that I installed right outside the dealership to a stock 2006 ECU. The difference was that small to me. One thing that I did notice however is that I am able to toss the rear a bit more than I used to be able before the traction kicks in and cuts my power. Which I love because I have can a little bit of fun going around a corner without much risk of losing complete control like if I would of had traction control off or not be able to have fun at all with traction on. Now I can toss it around the corner while still having traction on and then let traction control kick in to help me straighten my car out.
A follow up to this, so after having the ECU for a few months I started to truly consider selling it and put the stock one back and get back some of my money since I still felt like there was no difference. And with the quarantine I have nothing else to do, so I decided to put the stock one back and took my car out for a quick drive around my block and see if I can feel a difference. And oh my G I actually felt the difference. The steering wheel was so loose and lazy and honestly I wasn’t as confident as I normally would be while going through this slight curve by my house. So I retract this review that I did after I first installed it. At first I thought it money wasted but now I know it is not wasted money.

I concur. After a while of having my upgraded ECU installed, you begin to wonder if it's really different, as you get used to it over the months. But after removing mine for sale and re-installing the factory ECU, you can then REALLY get a sense of what all it really does and how different it make everything.

I would recommend the 2011 ISF Steering ECU Part number 89650-53041 paired with an ISF Steering damper Part number 45713-53020 plus the 2 x screws which I don't have the part numbers off hand

I know.. but that isf ecu is so freaking hard to find and expensive I found 89650-53082 sport ecu for under $150 but not sure if I should take that over stock 06 is350

It's worth it. Trust me. It's better than the stock eps ecu. I don't think this part number is going to work for your IS350, its for an F-Sport package and works with the F-Sport adjustable suspension

What's the part number of the Steering ECU? If it's for a 2011 ISF Steering ECU I've never seen one that low as they are in high demand

Oh yeah, buy it quickly! I've never seen this version of the eps ecu sell for so cheap! Make sure you have some type of guarantee in case it doesn't work
