That looks like what they used. You can do better. If you're going to customize, why not improve on their idea and use the diamond or slotted material on the same page?

I would paint it with Krylon so if it gets chipped, I could refresh it. Remember that you have to cut it and maybe form it. Have it powdercoated after you get it to the final size and shape if that's the finish that you want.

yup. gotta form it a bit. im trying to think of a way too attach it that wont have permanent effects when i go to put the stock grille back in....the car is a lease.

find out how much another chrome trim thing is and mount it to that.

^ I have SFP... if you get it, I think it might look good if it was black/matte black. Although, I'd change out the bottom grille as well to match.

I think that grill wouldn't look bad at all in a nice gunmetal finish
