Audio Issues
Hey Everyone,
First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Dustin and I am on here to try and help a friend out. As much as I love the IS models, unfortunately I don't own one yet. I've got the Titan shown in my Avatar and am an avid forum user on clubtitan.org. I came here to try and get some assistance with an audio issue my friend is having.
The car is a 2006 IS350 AWD with Bluetooth, navigation, and aux input. The problem is she keeps getting intermittent static for 1-2 seconds while listening to her ipod via the aux input, radio, or even books on CD. I haven't heard yet so I can't describe it much better than that. She said it sounds like a Honda with a real crappy sub in it, the way the sub hits and it just sounds terrible... but only for a second. Most of the time on the books on CD it's at the end of a sentence when the voice trails off.
My first thought was a ground issue but the more she describes it, I'm not so sure anymore. I've turned the bass all the way up and down in the audio settings and can't replicate it. I've searched on here and done other Google searches on this and have found some minor audio issues, but nothing related to this. Do any of you have any thoughts or suggestions? Anything we might try? She will take it to the dealer whenever we find the issue, but until then without being able to replicate, I don't see the point.
Thanks in advance,
Dustin
