Hey guys,
I had to raise my car up cause of this. Suuuuucks!
So when I bought my IS350, the rear right fender was already a little loose cause the inner lip had fallen off. My friend, when pulling my fenders a bit tried to fabricate a screw in to hold the fender in. It worked fine until I slipped and pulled the rear quarter panel with me. ;___; I took it to a body shop this morning, and they didn't want to attempt it since they thought it'd be a waste of my money.
So what are my options? Not trying to spend too much money to get a full brand new bumper.
I've considered gluing it together or using 3M tape to hold it all down, but what would you guys do? It pops back into place and stays when the car is in motion, so it isn't too bad. It's just the second I hit a dip and my tire goes up, it pops back out slightly again.
Here's a pic. I pulled it out a bit so you guys could see inside the fender. Normally, it just sits sticking out a little bit. It's like 4x4 height now. :[

265/30-19 on a 19x10.5 +22. I don't wanna downsize tires. D:
The fenders already popped, and I planned on pulling even more so I could dump it, so I figured I just wanna secure this in. With the fabricated screw that held it in before, it worked perfectly, it was just that one huuuuuuge dip on the highway that messed it up.

you need to downsize your tires to 245/35-19.
the bumper tab is obviously missing, so there's nothing to secure it to the fender to begin with. you can mickey-mouse it all you want - screws, super glue, silly puty, papier mache, etc. - but with your current rear tire size, all it will take is enough weight transfer on that one corner (i.e. dip, driveway, speed bump), and all that mickey-mouse work is all for naught.
or you can get a new bumper with the tabs so you can actually secure the bumper. but, that doesn't solve the problem of the tires getting up to the bumper/fender tab and causing issues.
at the end of the day, 245/35-19 is the starting point of solving your problems, but it's up to you if you really want to make the wheels fit...

Drill two holes, one on the bumper and one on the fender, then zip tie it together.
Then you could hit however many bumps you want, if it breaks, continue to zip tie it back together in 2 minutes.

Prime example of why I won't be dropping my car to low. Way to many headaches for someone like me that daily drives the car.
OP, take it to a body shop that will bondo it from the inside out. Just now that you won't be able to remove your rear bumper ever unless you cut that section off that was bondoed w/ a dremel.

I had mine almost perfect but I accidentally slipped and slapped the fender tryna pop loose the locking ring on the coils since it got seized, and it pushed my bumper out and now it's like this. :s

19x10.5 +22 slammed on 265/30 is not a very good combo unless you're running crazy camber. raising it up a bit and making sure you're on the stiffest setting would be the easiest fix but it's too late now, anyway i hope you get it fixed, i'm pretty sure other shops could do something about it. keep us updated.

I do all the work on my car. Molded my rep Wald spoiler last month. Can't really tell what's goin on where ur screws are supposed to go but there has to be a way to fabricate it better than just sticking tape, glue or zip ties on your Lexus. But if you are going to do it the ghetto way I suppose zip ties are the best bet.

double stick and junk will just come right off again..You won't be able to slam it with that tire size and offset. You need to fix two things now...your rear tire size and your bumper. You can camber it with a Megan rear camber kit and wear your tires a bit more! That's a REAR QUARTER PANEl by the way. Fenders are only up front that are removable. New cars are unibody and don't have rear fenders. Good luck!

How come no one suggests to get rid of the drifter/VIP look and go with the proper offset and wheel combo.
My MKIV JZA80 uses an 18' X 11" +40 TE37 with a 315/30R18 tire on it. I needed to have some quarter panel work done to make it happen but I know the setup fits properly and will not rub even at the track.
My 18" X 9.5" +40 LE37 in the rear of my IS350 never rub with a 285/35R18 tire on them. I'm using a 235/40R18 upfront on a 18"X 8.5" +40 LE37 and no rubbing either.

And for the record - it held up fine with the rubbing on the 265. I plan on pulling my fenders more anyways, so I am not going to downsize tires.
