Re-dyeing seats.
Has anyone thought about or has re-dye their leather seats? I noticed over time the leather becomes more shiny and nothing really gives it that matte surface appearance anymore. I've own my for 2 years now and thinking about re-dying my driver seat because I want that new seat feeling again. And its obvious that dying is a lot cheaper than a brand new seat. Insights and experiences much appreciated

Dealer charged $100. I thought this was more than fair. I would not go anywhere but a delaer. I assume this is the procsss they use to clean up interiors if they need work to be CPO or presented on the pre-owned lot.
My car is 3 years old, has 11k mlles and sits inside 99% of the time. My leather is still in great shape so I can't comment on the texture.
All I know is the dye job was excellent and I felt like I was back in a new car again.

I had my driver's seat redyed--it changed the texture a bit--rougher but only noticeable because I know what was done. However my grey seat now looks completely grey and matches the rest of the car.
The previous owner was a woman who liked to use spray on tan--a bad thing for leather. It nicely covered the stains. I think i paid 80 for both seat bottoms--the other one was also dirty and cleaning/conditioning only helped so much.
