Rubber serpentine belts that run the fan, accessory power, etc. Front of your engine block, you'll see them.

Has anyone replaced their drive belt and if so was it due to damage or was it recommended at a certain mileage?

7th gen or older Civics had timing belts. Welcome to the Lexus camp! I'm in the same boat you seem to be in...came from a couple 5th gen Civics and have been loving every day since my transition. Read up my friend, there's plenty of knowledge to be had from numerous previous threads. In fact, I believe ALL topics on the 2IS have been covered over the years, so why do we ever have new threads? Lol, J/K.

When it starts to leak. The only "scheduled" maintenance is oil change, brake fluid, filters, coolant, and spark plugs. Everything else is an "as needed" basis meaning the parts have worn (brake pads and drive belt for example.)

GS430 would have a timing belt. IS300 had a timing belt. IS250/350 both have chains.

Old thread, i know. IS250/350 are 100% timing chain. GS has timing belt. So on the IS luckily for us it will last the life of the car. Most vehicles have moved over to the usage of timing chain.
