Question about Rim Size
Looking to get some wheels:
Is this the right bolt patter for a 2007 IS350: 5x114.3
I like having staggered wheels. What are some effects of have all 4 wheels with this size 19 x 8.5
And lost in performance or having more contact with ground during turns? Will I need to have them offset? If so, how much?
Thanks. Not too knowledgeable about wheels.

1. correct; bolt pattern for the 2is is 5x114.3. (on a related note, hub bore size is 60.1 mm.)
2. nothing wrong with running a square wheel set-up, though if you're running staggered tire sizes the aesthetics won't be the same. case in point, given 19x8.5, the sidewalls for a 225 tire will be more angled in than the sidewalls for a 255 tire.
3. all else given equal, contact patch is directly correlated with treadwidth.
4. for fitment purposes, varying the offset for a square set-up will determine how the wheels sit in relative to the rest of the car. or using the words of the hellaflush movement, "how the wheels affect stance".
hope this helps.
