Default Mismatched tires?

I got a good deal on 2 Dunlop sport Maxx gt from a friend and am trying to get 2 hankook ventus v12 for the fronts because Dunlop does not make the sport Maxx in 225 size the first size they start at is 255. Is this a bad idea to have mismatched tires?

Oh ok 19's ...makes sense then lol.

Yeah if its a RWD, mismatched tires shouldn't be a problem. I try and keep it the same type of tires though (i.e. either Summer tires all around or all-seasons all around). If you had an AWD, then its more important to have the same exact type of tires all around, but you should be ok with RWD.

So the rear tires are 255/35/19 which is what I have. I still need the front 225/35/19.

Thanks. Ya I just read for the first time that mismatched tires will mess up the abs system, traction control etc.

I believe that's more if you have an AWD or if your mixing tires on opposite sides of the car (i.e. Brand A on the drivers right and Brand B on the drivers left) I've run mismatched tires before without issues, i just made sure the 2 in the front were the same and the 2 in the rear were the same.
