Aftermarket Trunk Support Struts
NE1 found an Aftermarket Trunk Support Strut replacement.
I found the 6453053013 pn but there should be an AM for less than $130+ by now.
Anyone know what the strut specs are to match up to a universal.
I have not pulled mine yet but it does not look to be fun.

Try these guys, you might have to call them as for some reason they don't list the IS in the Lexus section where you pick your car.

Update:
I emailed LiftSupport @ Autopartsbylou and he asked for more info.
"As best I can measure, the Extended Length is 22" from center of ball socket to the center of the hole socket.
The compressed length is 15 1/2".
The cylinder length (extended) is 9 1/2
The tube length is 13
The ball end (rear of car) has a clip ring that goes around the ball after it is in place.
The hole socket end has a clip that fits over the hole with snap tips that hold it in place.
The only markings on the tube are all Japanese, no numbers.
My calibrated arms measure it at about 20 ftlbs to compress the tube by pushing down on the ground after removing."
I will update again after I hear back from them.

I would be very interested in an aftermarket replacement too because the OEM one does not offer much support. If I just let the trunk fall and close by itself, it slams down pretty hard. It would be very nice if the struts offered a little more resistance
