What's the difference between 2009 and 2010 IS 250?
Hello,
Just joined this forum and did search for the difference between 09 and 10 but wasn't able to find anything.
So here I am asking you gurus about some help.
I recently bought a pre-owned 2010 IS 250 AWD few weeks ago but my sales person didn't have the owner's manual.
Then he said he can get me a 2009 manual for my IS.
So my question is, "Is there much difference in feature/function between 09 and 10 IS250 AWD?"
Just want to make sure I am not missing something important when I read through 09 owner's manual for my 2010 model.
I already got tons of helpful information from this forum and going to install my V1 detector on rearview mirror with wiretap after studying how-to articles this weekend.
Have a happy holidays!

Thank you RDIS250AWD!
I am thrilled and anxious to learn all the features about IS250.
Sounds like there are good number of customization you can do to fit your needs.
Time to do some reading over this holiday vacation

Mind you, it's still missing a number of features $150 Garmins had 5 years ago, but it's still a big improvement over the 06-09 system.

the '10 comes with the 6th gen nav system. It's hard drive based instead of DVD, and actually has features from this century unlike the 90s-era nav system in the 06-09 models. Also comes with the USB port/ipod adapter built in.

2010 has Gen 6 HDD nav instead of Gen 5 DVD nav; bluetooth on non-Nav equipped cars, and the speakers for Mark Levinson changed. USB Aux input added.
The rear view mirror layout changed (garage door buttons moved to front, compass/auto-dimming button split into 2 buttons).
Safety Connect system added to USA-spec cars.
Heated windshield was added to Canadian cars, F-Sport package was added for Canada.
TPMS warning changed to just the light, doesn't show on the temperature (etc.) display anymore.
Beyond that, not much changed. Mostly small stuff really.

A good resource for this sort of stuff is the Lexus CPO model library. They don't list everything but usually have some 'change notes' in their description of the model year. Guys above have got it covered better though
