Default It's official!

Well, I pulled the trigger today on my very first Lexus. I let go of my 'vette for this car. I sure hope all goes well with it.

what do you all think?

Started at....

Car = 2012 iS350 F-Sport
MSRP = $46,128 +ttl
Plus, dealership wanted $1000 for transport from out-of-state

What I got...

Car = 2012 iS350 SFP F-Sport
$43,000 +title/license (no tax as trade-in covered the tax) (includes transport)
Plus, they threw in the F-Sport intake.

ETA for my new ride... 12/26

Thoughts? Good deal?

Thanks bro. Yeah, I figured it won't be a speed demon. Have a little bambino on the way... so, was looking for something to allow a baby seat and be semi sporty at the same time. Loved my vette.... hated to let it go. But, gotta do what I gotta do for my little one. Hope this will fit the bill for what I was looking for. :-)

Congrats! An IS350 is pretty fast... Don't let the "only 300hp" fool ya . It's geared very aggressively and can even keep up with an F to 60

Congrats on your new car, great choice. Question for you if you don't mind me asking, what did you get for the vette?

Sounds pretty good to me also! Try and convince your wife that an exhaust will put the baby to sleep while driving! It might be a little tight for the car seat but the trunk is spacious. Congrats and welcome to CL.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I do like this color myself. It was a hard decision between SFP and Black (don't recall the exact name of it. The one that begins with "O"). Both were same price. In the end, I figured white would stand out more.

Well, doing a trade-in, you always get the shaft. Been there and done that many times. I just don''t like the hassle of finding a private buyer whom you don't know anything about yet allowing them to come near you or your family to check out the car. I knew I was gonna get shafted this time around as well. But, went into it hoping to at least getting them to pay it off and not leave me upside down. So, that's basically what I got them to do. KBB said the car was worth 31k trade-in. They first offered 27k but I got them to give me 29.5k and throw in a $590 F-Sport intake into the deal.

Actually, he was trying to push a 2011 left-over IS-F on me. Said he would give me a good deal on it. That just wouldn't have done much for me from a financial POV.

Thanks dude. I'm looking forward to this new chapter in life and see how it progresses. Reading up on this site and looking at all the hot cars you guys got keeps me pumped up on the potential for my new ride.

Doh! I sure hope that back seat won't be that tight. That was my primary reason for going to a 4 door car. Keep your fingers crossed dude.
