Hey all i just finished installing my Vaistech ML+ and Beatsonic Navigation over ride.
I've seen lots of links on how to install each so I'm not going to post a step by step but i am going to post a bunch of pictures o you can all look and see what else is possible.
First i chose the beat sonic because i only needed Navigation over ride as the Vaistech ML+ will allow you to play videos by entering a code. This saved me lots of $$ over the prestige system. i hated the stock switch that came with the beat sonic so i installed this switch
For anyone interested i purchased the switch here http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/p999.html you want the DPDT ON-ON part #7500009
id also be willing to make one if anyone is interested. it will plug directly into the original beat-sonic cat 5 cable.

with the Vaistech ML+ i wanted to have a permanent iPhone dock not just a cable dangling around and i chose to install it in the ashtray. I've seen some installs done this way but didn't like how others had the iPhone sticking way out of ashtray and blocking the buttons on the dash.
i mounted the cable very low in the ashtray and it now clears all the buttons on the dash.
all i did was dremel out the bottom of the ashtray the exact size of the iPhone cable and glued it into place. i also dremeled out a hole under the ashtray so the cable could snake through to the ML+ brain box.

the switch is used to over ride the navigation system to allow you to enter destinations and addresses into it while moving. also lets you make phone calls via blue tooth and the onscreen keypad while moving.
By default these features are locked out and not allowed by lexus while the vehicle is in motion.
