how does the mount hold up? I was actually considered getting something like this but didn't know how the quality would be

All custom but fairly simple. I just used some craft wood, superglue, an extra iPod dock thingy, and a lot of patience. Haha. Just made a little wood stand that is glued to the inside of the ashtray and the phone just plugs into it.

I have a Samsung Galaxy and temporarily putting in the ash tray after taking the plastic part out.
My wife made me a cloth wrapper that sits loose in the ash tray for protection from scratch.
Eventually I want buy (or make one if can't find) an adapter that holds firmly in the ash tray - next project in my list after V1 installation.

that's what I do, and use the bluetooth now that I got the CROM ipod Kit with bluetooth.

Of course you do buddy!!! Can I have your car? you may keep the mount ;-)

My 350 doesnt have bluetooth :-(. Maybe ill just buy a headset to solve the problem. But im gonna try and take the ashtray out sometime this week anyways.
