Question Noisey IS 250 instrument panel

My '09 IS 250 is increasingly making a "buzz-bezz-bizz" sound right on start up when placed in reverse gear and on initial backward movement. It's not the brakes because they haven't been applied. It's ridiculously irritating from a car supposedly of Lexus quality. I've taken it in to North Park Lexus in San Antonio and they couldn't find it (although they indicated by telling me the car was ready that they had.) They've invited me to bring it back in. It sounds like an odd-pattern electrical buzzing, not a rubbing or mechanical sound. I left years of BMWs to try Lexus. I'll likely go back to Beemers. Anyone have the same sound? Thanks and Happy New Year.

Sorry to hear the problem. There should be a thread on this forum on the topic. Do a search on it. If i remember correctly there is a fix...

On a side note...I also live in San Antonio and have taken my car to North park .. Speak to Raul who is an adviser in their service department. I have gotten the best service from him. I would look up the thread here first.

I had the same thing. If you hold the top of the bezel surround and the dashboard together tightly, it goes away? The 2 screws need to be tightened up tightly and the sound goes away. It's the vibration of the 2 that makes the sound. If this is the problem, the. Tightening the two top screws of the surround solved it for me.
