Default Help wheel problem

so i forced my way into buying these wheels at a great price and ended up regretting it.
I currently am running 19x8.5 +35 in the front with a 5mm spacer to clear the brakes on my 06 is 350. the tires are 235 35 19 and the tires rub on the back of the wheel well. BTW THE CAR IS STOCK SUSPENSION NO DROP.
Should these specs be rubbing? any suggestions how can i fix it?
should i go to 225 on the tires or what can i do? appreciate the help
heres an old pic of the car with wheels tooo

those specs should not rub, but your effective offset is +30.

you can either modify your fenders or go with 225/35-19.

You've pretty much answered your own question lol. Yes it's the fender liner, and projectdna is right, by running the 5mm spacer your are effectively running a 30mm offset

Smaller tires and rolling the fender liner will alleviate the problem

So did your overall wheel+tire diameter increase from stock? I'm still running stock 18s and want to upgrade to 19s and drop 2 inches. But I'll try to keep OEM diameter to avoid rubbing.

Honestly no matter what anyone says. stock sizes are usually the best as far as performance. the 18 set up stock is perfect for the track. Im trying to purchase a set of oem 18s

Look at post #2 and #4 of this link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...our-setup.html. Is that the same place as yours?

If so, then that is a common rubbing place for big wheeled Lexus IS.

They used heat gun to melt/mold the plastic back.

I rub, daily, all the time, sounds great

However I do agree that stock wheels allow you to drive the car and feel better driving too.

Just heat gun and mold the fenders or buy 225/35/19. 18s ride better but 19s look better. Pick your poison

Did the 235 tires come with the rims? 225 / 35 is what you should have with 19's

I'm not convinced that the stock 18's would be the best for the track. I would think a lighter and wider wheel would be ideal. BUT I don't kno anything.
