battery died, no warranty?
i called up and the service advisor said the 84month warranty sticker thats on the battery only applies to batteries purchased, not the ones that come with the car new? Sounded kind of funny...
It was 5 years old so not complaining, just wondering why would Lexus have a big 84 month warranty sticker if the dealers dont honor it

Batteries replaced under warranty are covered under the same warranty (original) it was replaced under. The new battery in the car is covered for 4 years, a battery replaced under that warranty is still covered for the 4 years from the original in-service date. When you buy the replacement battery, it is covered for the 84 months.
Warranty is always from the original date/original warranty. The original battery in the car was covered for 4 years, not 84 months. (The original battery wouldn't have said 84 months on it, only Lexus replacement batteries do).

yeah he was saying that even the ones that come with the car from the factory have that 84 month sticker, and pulled the history of the car to show another battery was never purchased... i just bit the bullet and got a new one from advance auto parts
