Possible IS owner.
Hello everybody! My GF is thinking of getting a 08 IS250 AWD possibly in the spring/summer. She currently has a Genesis couoe that i modded to her specifacations. Anyway i just wanted to hear from current is250 awd owners how they love there car and how it has held up for them etc.. I have read so many reviews and they were all mixed. We won't be able to test drive one for awhile.
couple pics i had on the ipad. this is how she sits as of now.

Great car, I'm a girl too and I think your GF will love it ! Looks cute with girls esp in pearl white color in my opinion However I think you might get less performance out of an IS250 compared with Genesis Coupe . . someone correct me if I'm wrong ...

Its a great daily car
Performance wise, not much. Great on MPG I get average 26-33. And one thing that's common with the 250 is the carbon build up which usually results in rough idling and shifting. I have a 2010 and already am experiencing this...but overall no other complaints.

Hello, my name is Mike and I also am new to the forum. I am actually looking into getting a is250. I now drive a 05 Scion tc and was looking to upgrade! Thanks Kamakaze for the post. I want to get away from the two door and move on to a 4 dr sedan. "pain in the butt to get out and let other people in the back seat." I am looking for a used is250 and do not want to buy new, because thats just a little too much for me! Lol I can make due with a used one though. I have been looking at this forum site for a couple of months now and I really like what I see in it. Other forums have people that just trash talk about other people, but this forum is a bit more mello then the other forum site I have been to, which is very good. I also like the fact that members esp. The senior members like to help out the new members! I hope to get my is250 soon enough so I can post up some pictures of it! I actually like the Starfire Pearl! Awesome forum to be in. Thanks for letting me put my 2 cents in.

If I understand it correctly, it works like this:
It's letting in exhaust back into the intake to re-burn so the car is cleaner (for the environment) but also introduces carbon to the intake valves. And because the IS250 doesn't have port injection like the 350 does the carbon just sticks to the valves instead of being blasted away by gas from the port injectors.
Ah well.. I'm at 59k and still haven't had any symptoms.

I love my 250 AWD, but it does not have alot of power--that is ok with me. I prefer the better mileage, and after coming back from living in Europe (where I could drive 120mph legally), i wanted a car with less power so I did not go to jail for excessive speed.
I recommend it.

Right... It's the EGR - exhaust gas recycling.
