Default Front window tint installation and best tint brand to use?

For having the front driver/passenger windows tinted, does the interior door panels need to be taken apart? The reason I ask is because I like to get the front driver/passenger windows tinted and the installer saids the front door panels need to open because the speaker which is located at the front is not giving enough clearance for the install.

My main question is that does front door panels really need to be taken off or can be done without doing this?

Thanks

My tint place did not have to remove the panels. I have heard that the reason why installers say they need to remove the panel is because they don't have the proper tool to tint that speaker area. Either that or they want to make sure that air does not get stuck in that corner. However, there are lots of places that do not need to remove the panels.

Depends on the installer some will and some won't remove the door panel.

They'll probably do a cleaner job with the tint behind the tweeter if they remove the panels. It's up to them really. Most don't need to though but when I was with my friend to pick up his car from getting tinted, there was an IS250 in there getting tinted and all the door panels were removed. I tinted my car myself and didn't need to remove the panels.

My tint place did remove them. They did not charge any more than usual though. He said because of the lifetime warranty they offer, he would rather do it right the first time, than have to fix it down the road because of air or the customer not being happy.

I also hate when tint guys don't take the time to tint behind the rear brake light.

I have 3M color stable and im really satisfied with the result, The installer didnt remove the panel and he did great job in my opionion. I watched him to tint my entire car, it was really difficult to tint the front window tho. But he did it.
