Default I need a new front bumper :-(

Anyone know if this can be repaired or does it need to be completely replaced?

I checked the under body of the car and it doesn't seem to be any other damages. I was driving on the freeway last night and when I switched lanes I heard a huge thud. Thought I had a flat but I drove home just fine. When I pulled into the driveway I saw this

Not sure if I should bring it to the dealership for them to check for anymore damages. Not sure if I should just order a new bumper and bring it somewhere to have it replaced. The dealership will probably charge me a fortune and I'll have to contact my insurance if I even want to go through them.

I would just glue the cracked part of the bumper together and put a front lip on it.

sorry to see that happened. but luckily its an easy fix. The tabs on top looks like it just needed to be popped back in but the bottom looks like it cracked

The damage is minimal. Oem lip is toast. You can glue the broken part and get a front lip to cover the damage and replace lower grill. New oem bumper painted is 550 shipped from Sewell. Easy to replace yourself.

I'm probably leaning on getting a new bumper. Problem is, I've read on other threads, that the one ordered from Sewell already has the license plate holes drilled in. Anyone have experience ordering a bumper before?

I have no clue how to remove/install a bumper either if anyone can give me some tips I'd appreciate it. I'll do some other searches on here.

The bumpers from the factory do not come pre-drilled. Just to double check, email Sewell to verify that the bumpers are not drilled. They probably may of drilled bumpers as per customer request.

Keep in mind, the bumpers painted are not factory painted as in Lexus Japan (unless you order from Lexus Japan - however they will be factory drilled as per JP Spec for Japanese licence plates).

Do you have full coverage insurance? Because typically this would fall under a comprehensive loss, which doesn't affect your premiums, although you do have to pay your deductible. If your deductible is $500 or less, your probably better off just notifying insurance because a new bumper from Sewell will cost you at least that anyways, plus installation since you don't know how to do it. Usually you'll get a lifetime warranty on the repairs too from the dealer.

If you find a used bumper and install yourself, you may be able to get it under $500 total though

Honestly, I don't know. I'll have to check I made some changes to my insurance a while back.
