Smoked headlight/taillight laws in Louisiana

Default Smoked headlight/taillight laws in Louisiana
My Marine buddy has been researching and trying to find the laws on smoking out his headlights and taillights in Louisiana since he is about to get stationed there. Does anyone have any insight on what the laws are there? And while we are on the subject, what about the laws in Florida? I was planning on doing something with the headlights and taillights as well...just not sure of what.

Honestly, it's all at the officer's discretion, But I did just find an answer on Yahoo answers that stated tail lights in Louisiana should be visible from 30 ft. As for headlights, I'm not sure.
