Well a few months ago I purchased an aftermarket Sirius radio kit, and while installing it, I accidentally ripped out the navigation antenna. So, I purchased a new antenna and installed it, and now it wont hold the calibration. Also while in the process I decided to make a fiberglass mold of the factory changer in the bottom and for some reason my clock and hazard switch dont work either. Any ideas what could be either problem.

Its probably the antenna. I just recently had the same problem. My navigation screen stopped responding so I took it to the dealer to have it replaced. Afterwards my navigation wouldn't hold calibration. I took it back to the dealer and they determined that something was loose in the antenna wiring. So I would recheck your antenna to make sure its installed correctly.

If the GPS is working properly, calibration should not be necessary. When the GPS is locked and receiving a valid signal, you'll see the word "GPS" displayed under the map scale indicator in the top left quadrant of the screen. If you don't see that indication within a minute or two of starting the car, you know that your car is simply using dead reckoning (speed and steering wheel position sensors) to calculate the position of the car, and that you should check the antenna, wiring, and connectors.

Thanks guys. I'll have to take a look to see if it's getting a signal. Im not sure if it matters or not but the antenna I bought was an antenna off of ebay. The connector to the back is the same as the factory one, but wasn't sure if it was something internal or not.
