Can i carry this much cargo?
I'm taking a trip to the US this spring to pick up a set of new wheels and tires (likely NOT mounted so they're gonna be separate :S).
Do you guys think I can fit 2x 225/35/19, 2x 275/30/19, and 4 rims in my IS or will I have to take a mini van?
Hahaha how much have you guys carried in your IS before? (people or cargo stories welcome)

Not even, all four rims will not fit in your trunk without the possibility of causing some damage in transit.
I was able to fit only 2 245/40/19 in my trunk, and 2225/35/19 in my back seat, you have 275!
Where u gonna put the 4 rims after? Take the minivan or take two trips lol

The trunk can only fit one wheel, and the back seat will barely fit 2, and even then, you will tripping out about that stuff on your leather lol. I helped CL member BLEX1UZFE take his 19" wheels w/tires to a tire shop, we put one in the my trunk, and after putting a TON of blankets down all over the back seats and back of the front seats PLUS all over the wheel, we got one in the back seat...i'm sure you can get 2 in there...but it will be tight.
Take my advice, take the van

Are you planning on using your front seats for room? I know for a fact you can definitely get 6 out of those 8 things in the back seat/trunk only.
I sold my OEMs to a member here (4 OEMs with tires, and two backups without).
I put the ones with tires in the rear seat, with plastic covering the seats of course. In your case, you won't need cardboard inbetween the wheels since they aren't mounted. Just put the 275s on the bottom and the 225s on top. Grab A LOT of large pieces of cloth, and wrap the wheels nicely. You can probably fit two, maybe three of these rims into the trunk, and slap one or two stacked with cloth inbetween with the front seat (don't forget to just buckle the seatbelt in or you're about to be dealing with the seatbelt beep.

i've carried two 255's (stacked top-bottom) in the trunk w/ no spare or floorboard, plus four wheels in the rear passenger area (side-by-side or 2x2 top-bottom).
if you're looking to carry four tires and wheels, your best bet is to have the tires mounted onto the wheels. two will go in the trunk minus the floorboard, and two more in the rear passenger area.
or just take a mini van and not have to worry about trying to stuff your 2is.

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I like Sffd103's idea of getting it all installed, I hope I don't have any rubbing issues when driving back, but I'll probe remove the spare/floor too so I can put my winter OEM 18's in there lol.
