Dang!!!! I was averaging about 19.5 (city) on my 450hp Corvette. I once got 29.7 on a freeway trip to San Antonio on that vette.

I understand that for a lot of reasons, your gas mileage in the winter will be worse than in the summer holding all else equal (http://www.metrompg.com/posts/winter-mpg.htm).

So what kind of drop are you seeing?

I ask because this past weekend I took a long 400 mile road trip or so all highway driving, and I got 25.6 MPG or so for the tank. This was almost 100% highway driving.

In warmer, summer weather, it wouldn't be unusual for me to get 30-32 MPG on the highway.

So is that drop for winter conditions in line with what others are seeing?
Interesting. I always knew mileage drops during the winter but never bothered to research the reasons. Thanks for the link. I've been getting 22-24 mixed driving but only got the car two months ago.

About 17 ish MPG for me (city 30% / freeway 70%). I think i can go about 250~260 miles on full tank of gas. I had about 38 MPG when I was driving like granny and non stop from north cal to southern cal. (I think I drove 410 miles with one tank) So yea... I guess it depends on how fast you drive?

WE get about 16 on average with our 2011 IS350, but my wife only has to drive 2 miles to work everyday. For typical city/highway combined, we're getting 21 mpg. Funny thing about the IS350 is that it almost REQUIRES you to drive fast, it shifts so much smoother when you mash the accelerator!

I get average 23-24 mostly hwy, I'd say 70% hwy 30% city with Ect on all the time and I got a heavy foot. I get about 340-350 miles out of the tank. I've tried to drive nice and easy on one tank to see what's the most i can get but the temptation is too much and can't make it without stepping on it

Just an FYI, those with auto climate control - if you leave it on all the time, you will definitely see a drop in MPG. If you turn it off, you'll see an increase in mpg almost immediately. Personally I leave mine on all the time and get about 17-18 mpg city and 23-24 mpg highway. My commute to work is less than 2 miles away, so my city driving is very inefficient.

Not true! If you have your window(s) open on the freeway, you'll have worse MPG than having the air on.

I think he was talking about the setting AUTO not the air in general
