There is a "pedal dance" trick you can do tho to shut off traction control on your 2006 tho!
There is? Do you happen to know how to do it?

1. Doesn't have a "real" hand brake (automatic tranny). It has that stupid foot actuated brake like old fords.

2. Semi-limtied slip differential doesn't do much.

3. Cup holder (like everyone else said)

4. jacking point for oil changes are in akward location (too far back).

5. no HID standard (no i dont want to buy cheap aftermarket ones).

6. no dual piston front caliper brakes as stated on lexus website (IS250).

Theres more but I dont want to be picky...

I don't get why everyone keeps saying back seats...you bought your car knowing it is a SPORT SEDAN. It isn't supposed to have huge backseats. I remember the E46 3-series BMW's having comparable space in the back and that is exactly the car/market the IS was aimed for. If you wanted more leg room you should have gone with a GS, ES, or LS

True story. Did people not look back there when buying, or realize the size difference it would make on our car to make the back seat more spacious?

Yeah, nobody can complain about the room in the back seat.
I knew that immediately when I was deciding between the GS and IS. I liked the IS because it was sportier, don't care about people in the back
I just wish the back seats would fold down is all!! lol

I 100 percent agree with you on that...if you NEED a bigger backseat, go with a different car. If my backseat passengers complain, I will gladly pull over and let them walk...

I had no idea HID wasn't standard. I just googled my 2011 is250 to see if its standard or not for the year! That's whack! My 2005 tsx came standard with HIDs.

1. I want the speedometer to be on the right so my hand doesn't cover it.
2. The turn signal indicator should be somewhere else where my hand doesn't cover it :p
3. Rattles

I'm gonna go ahead and say those are personal problems...they can't design the car in a way that they have the turn signals placed exactly where everyone who owns the car is going to like them. Also, only way I see the speedometer being covered is if you try to one hand drive the car with your hand in the middle of the wheel. That is easily fixable with proper grip. Same with the turn signals.

Ok, I opened this thread thinking-I have no beefs, I wonder what everyone is complaining about? And I realized...I DO have some beefs that could be easily rectified. One-the auxiliary input. Wtf is with that? The trunk would be the only less convenient location. And the seats not folding down-why? Idk. I don't think Lexus knows either.

The non-folding rear seats is to help reduce moving parts that can create noise. Granted, folding seats don't make that much sound but i guess engineers thought over time there may be clicking sounds associated with seats not being locked in place securely.
