Seeking advice on wife friendly rim ideas
Purchased my MRM 2009 IS250 a few months back and have been itching to put on some new rims to set her apart from the tons other ISxx rides I see around town in what I thought was a rare color. I am in love with the Vossen CV-1 ten spokes in the black and machined, but they are out of my budget unless someone knows of a used set or a nice %off deal. I screwed up and blew my wad on the MY2011 headlights and now I can't convince the wife I should be spending that much more on rims plus tires.
Any suggestions of 18in or 19 rims that look would look great on my IS but not break the bank?

Yeah I guess that would help. The $1900 for 19in Vossens is too much so I am thinking I could get away with around $1000 for a set of rims. I would prefer to not buy rep wheels but could consider if they are quality.

Wheeldude sells Linea Corse wheels for around $1300 though and a lot of people here have them...

You got a quote of $1900 for 19inch CV1? I'm also interested in those wheels and got a quote of $1750 shipped to my door. But yea i would save a bit more money and go with Linea Corse as Killa said. You will most likely regret your decision later, depending on your taste. But if you're really eager to buy, your options include: TSW, Enkei, XXR, other cheap BBS reps, maybe some ISF or LFA rep wheels. Just to name a few

What does wife friendly even mean? dude get you the cv1's contact mike on here.
If you get anything less you will not be content with your purchase.
1K isn't going to get you much, be patient and save that extra scratch.

Where did you get the quote from? PM me if you need to. I've been looking for a set, but I've been quoted $2600 for the staggered set and $2500 for non for my AWD 250... I'm also in Canada so that'll affect the price. I'm willing to drive down to the States to pick them up or have them shipped to the border. Geez.. $1750 I'd get them in a heartbeat.

Who cares if there real or reps?
Its not like your tracking the car and need light wheels.
I buy reps because why spend 2k when I know the wheels will get scuffed when getting an alignment, changing out tires.
Get what you like and not what other people tell you. Quality overall will be similar for the average daily driver.

I don't know why no one's mentioned Lexus accessory wheels. I bought G-spiders for my 06 sedan, and loved them.
They're 18's, but look big cause there's no lip. They're right around your price range, you can use your original tires if you choose (or can get new set of tires for them and use factory as spare), and IMO they look fantastic.
Also, they're good quality (since they're made for lexus standards), and if (god forbid) something happens to one (ie- curb damage), you don't have to worry about finding a replacement. Just go to a lexus dealer and get new one.
Here's a pic for reference
