thinking of changing color of car

Make sure you're already a multi-millionaire before you start not caring about resale value. Less than that takes a dolt. The time to think about resale value is before you buy the asset in the first place.
I wouldn't repaint a car to another stock color, personally. If you want to do some sort of unique paint job with airbrushed girls in bikinis and orange seashells on the doors for fun and to be sure nobody else has it, that's one thing (yes I'm being facetious but the main point is valid). If you want a different color to look like a stock color just for the sake of change, and you're not rich, you're better off just changing cars when you feel the need for something new. Its still a waste of money to change cars more than every 7-8 years but at least its a slightly more efficient waste of money than changing colors like its nail polish.

Yea just trade it in or sell it and buy another one with the color you want. Im a painter at a shop in az and my shop starts at $6000 for a color change, and thats with no body work included. You could find someone like me who would do it for $3000 but if your not changing to a real custom color then i would recommend just finding another IS in the color u really want
