Common warranty problems with IS250?
Hello all:
My 2008 IS250 goes out of warranty at the end of next month. I'm taking it in to the dealer for an oil and filter change, annual emissions inspection and a general checkup in case anything needs done before the warranty expires. What are the common things that have been problematic with the IS250 (I've had all the recalls done up until this time last years)?
Thanks,

Thanks all and especially Calvin for the link. Looks like there's not much to worry about. I have the platinum extended warranty so most big-ticket items will be covered. It's the irritating little (but potentially expensive) things, like the windshield trim, that the factory warranty covers and I need to check.

Don't forget the interior of IS250's and IS350's flooding. It's called the AC evap drainage blocking TSIB and it sucks to have your entire floor and I do mean the entire floor covered in water. There are threads from people fully removing the seats, the carpet, etc... to dry it all out. Sucks.

Just so everyone's clear, he already has a Platinum VSA, which covers pretty much everything the factory warranty does except body and trim pieces. So things like water pump shouldn't concern you, since that'll be covered by your Platinum VSA if it fails.
I would just make sure you bring it in and get absolutely every single squeak, rattle, tick, knock, and pop fixed - things like the dash rattle and instrument cluster rattle. If they don't get fixed now, it's out of pocket for you later. Bringing the car in and bringing up all these issues also gets them on the record. So if you bring it in and say you've been having a particular rattle and they can't replicate it or fix it at the time you bring it in, if it recurs just out of warranty you have a much higher chance of their agreeing to fix it goodwill because you previously brought it in under warranty.
