Is ML sound worth it?

I have read on here that ML is a very rare option. My current car does not have it, and was wondering if I should get it on my next car (have my eye on the new GS). Input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had the upgraded sound system on my first 1990 LS400, then not on my second 1990 or my 1997. I currently have an IS350 without ML, but tested ones that did. I can say that it's a great option, and given the choice between a car with and a car without I'd pick the car with obviously, I can say that:
1) There are aspects of the car that are much more important to me that would significantly outweigh having or not having ML
2) I'd probably only be willing to pay a premium of a few hundred dollars for it
What I mean is, you're almost never going to find two cars that are exactly the same except one has ML and one doesn't. If that were the case, if the car with ML was only $100-300 higher I would probably pick the car with ML. If it were more than that, I wouldn't, because that's just the value I personally place on that options. Yours may vary.
More likely you'll compare two cars that are similar but different in a lot of respects - e.g. mileage, color, options, etc. For me, things like exterior/interior color, luxury package, nav, and CPO all outweigh ML. So if you had two identical cars, one without ML and CPO and one with ML but not CPO, I'd take CPO.
You'll just have to determine the value of the ML option for yourself. I'd recommend finding a nearby Carmax or Lexus dealer. Either probably has a large selection of 2IS and likely has one with ML and one without. Bring in an iPod and play the same song in each.
EDIT: Clarified that the first-gen LS' upgraded sound system was Nakamichi, not ML.

^^ There was no ML on the first gen ls400. The premium system was by Nakamichi.
The regular IS sound system sounds good, it's pioneer. But I really do love the ML in my IS350.

If sound is high on your priority list then this is not an option but a requirement. I SO regret no getting an IS with ML after listening to the ML system in my co-worker's IS-F. Now I'm spoiled and considering an aftermarket amp, processor and speakers. All told it will probably be more expensive than just getting the ML system and being done with it.
This is not to knock the stock Pioneer system. It is decent (except for the subwoofer) but my ear is a tad more demanding.
