Default tire and rim questions

hey guys. my wife wants to bling up her 2008 lexus is250. i went rim shopping and getting two different answers. the car has stock front 225 40 18 and the rear is 255 40 18. looking at something like 225 30 20 with 20x 8.5 and rear 255 30 20 20x10.0. one tire shop says no problem and the other says no way. my question is who is correct. will these fit, will these rub. she will choke me if i blow all this money and she gets flat tires or worse. dont wont to lower the car either ,just going for sleeker look. also what brand of tires seem to be best. both shops said nitto is bad. any good pics on this forum also.

Hate to say this but, 20" rims + no drop = ever see those altima/maxima guys rolling around? Get Eibach Prokit is250 springs, 1.4in front/1in rear for a minimal drop that will still get you over speedbumps and a great look even on stock rims.

20's and no drop is a NO NO!!! get 19's if you want to that but I'd still drop it a bit. Those tire sizes and wheel sizes you posted WILL fit. I'm rolling 225/30/20 on a 20x9 up front and a 255/30/20 on a 20x10.5 wheel in the rear. I'm using Hancook Ventus V12 for tires. hey have a good performance rating. Look them up under customer reviews on tirerack.com

Like others said don't go 20" if no drop it wouldn't look good. I have 19" on stock height and it looks like a truck!
