White LED's for '11 Headlights.
#33
This changes everything. My biggest problem with the 2011 headlights (other than the bubbling) is the fact that the LEDs are 4300K or so in color, when I'd rather them be 5000K or 6000K. Hmmm...

Did any one take apart their '11 LED headlights and change the LED's to white LED's?
I think the LED's are '3528'. SOURCE Link

Had my friend's gf translate what the site saids as a brief summary of what the page saids.
The person gotten a new L positioned LED part which was ordered. Since the owner wanted a more blue looking light apart to break the LED lamps on there to put the new ones in which are welded because they are unremovable.
Unfornately the page did not list full details of exactly what was done. This gives an an idea what what was going on.

Sango my friend no offense but everytime you write something in a thread it is way off, you recently went in my headlight thread and said they are not plug and play, which they ARE.
Now you are saying this person ordered a whole new NIKE CHECK LED because the led's on the stock L NIKE CHECK wont come off, yet in the pictures above we can CLEARLY see that he removed the LED's from the L.
I don't mean any disrespect but man PLEASE research or ASK before you go out giving the wrong advice/information.

Actaully, my friend translated because she knows Japanese - the OP in the blog clearly mention that he ordered a new L positioned LED part. He took apart the lamp to break the original LEDs (which I used LED lamp, but I really meant the LED itself) (notice the plier in there and the missing LEDs?) because they were unremovable as they are welded.

Sango I recently found out the the PnP LED 2011 headlights also require rear dust covers on the lights and some other wiring item... Sucks man cause I thought the sewell kit was PnP and nothing needed but bulbs and ballast.
But I do agree with vroomin that your post was a bit confusing above.
**Update**
Found the missing dust covers and other stuff in the box. All is well

Sorry, I was typing very quickly when I posted it when my friend emailed me the translation of what it said to see what the page exactly mentioned in her native language (Japanese) since google translate did not make any sense.

No worries. I am beginning to feel the same way you do though. For the money I spent on these sewell "plug and play" headlights it's become a headache
I found out the following today:
-you have to turn on the parking lights in order to get the DRL's to light up which means now I will be driving around with my taillight's parking lights on as well
-need a relay harness to avoid the fast blinking turnsingnals
-something about ordering some wire for these other "3 wires" my buddy was telling me about today in a text
-this kit doesn't come with ANY of the fawking dust covers on the back of the headlight
**Update**

I ended up finding the dust covers and the turnsignal relay harness in the box sewell sent just now. It was hidden at the bottom. All is well now. I was worried at first.
