This is probably a stupid question, but I had Lexus switch out my 06 headlights and put in the 2011 kit from sewell, did they use the ballasts from my 2006 or does sewell send new ballasts?

You really would need to get the car side by side with the older headlights to compare, because as I've said you can't make out what these look like from pictures on the internet, it's too easy for lighting to affect it.

I'm just saying, if you had the old ones and replaced them and think they're whiter, that's cool, but honestly I'd say get the 2 headlights beside each other and then compare.

Jeff, its no longer an opinion. They are in fact whiter. I never had the 2011's. Installed my 12's on tuesday with the help of (utoyz) who has the 2011's and right away we saw the difference. I understand pictures can "lie" but not in person..
here is a somewhat feasible comparison..

I'm just curious how much whiter they are, and that's the hardest thing to tell. I don't know any other IS owners around here, I've only seen 2-3 driving around with the LED's ever, so all I've had to go on are pictures.
Thanks for the picture, wish it were straight on to get a better idea. I'm sure someone will post one at some point showing the difference.
Not that it really matters, haha.

Jeff I am with you on that, it's SO hard to tell unless your standing right in front of both cars. The difference isnt CRAZY but its definitely there, I will try to snap a better head on picture when I get the chance
and ccj22 they aren't necessarily brighter just a different color..

Jeff Lange, I'm heading down to Vroomin's house tonight. I'll take pics of my 2011 headlights next to his 2012. Hopefully that will help this thread show that the 2012 are slightly brighter as Vroomin claims. I saw a 2012 on the showroom floor yesterday and I coulda sworn they were slightly brighter then model year 2011. I could just be getting old though.
