Just bought a 09 250 AWD. The car pops at slow speeds, from the front and rear when the wheel is turned, or it goes up a speed bump or down in a small pothole. Sounds like a loud THUNK or POP. Never happens at high speeds. Generally only at slower speeds. Haven't seen a connection between the wheel being turned and it happening. Also, the alignment is off, and i feel as if it's getting worse. Anyone have similar problems? Any help? I have the factory bumper to bumper warranty and bought an extended bumper to bumper on top of it so i think i'm adequately covered. Car has 32k miles on it.

I've read some posts of this happening to other, and they are all throwing out suggestions regarding nuts/bolts/screws in the suspension, but i personally am otherwise a car novice, and am not getting it. Please help.

Interesting that you should bring this up. I recently noticed a popping sound coming from the front while reversing and turning (backing out of a parking spot). Brought the car into Kuni Lexus but they were not able to replicate the noise. My car is a 2010 IS250 with almost 27K miles.

I have the same noise. I brought my car in 4 times and they are starting to say the noise is "normal". I'm going to contact lexus corporate.

Have you control arms checked. I had my front passenger control arm replaced, and the front popping stopped. Still popping in the back, sometimes when i go over speed bumps. They can't replicate the noise at the dealer so not sure what's going on there.
