Best mod I've ever done!!
Okay, so to start off... My car was factory equipped with halogens. Why on earth someone would get navigation and no HIDs is beyond me. Anyways, my first mod was a plug and play HID kit. Yes it was better than halogen but still pretty crappy. Having owned an s2000 before I knew I would never be happy with my headlight setup... Decided to give retrofitting a shot!!
Here's everything I picked up...
-A spare set of halogen headlights
-Nearly new TSX projectors
-From the retrofit source= TSXR clear lenses, morimoto 5000k 50w bulbs, h11 relay kit, amp->d2s sockets.
-55w MDE ballast (legit aftermarket, inspected by Philips)
-door hinge brackets and other hardware for mounting
-VLED city lights
- Gunmetallic wheel paint for housing.
I also decided to do a little special something with my fog lights I haven't seen before... Black housing with the chrome reflector sprayed with yellow stained glass paint. Installed 3000k HID fogs as well. Yes I need to Westland and polish out those rock chips!
So here's the process. Baked apart the headlights...
Then proceeded to fit my TSX projectors into the oem projectors spot. This was great because it allowed me to use the factory adjustment *****. Reused my oem shrouds.
Then sprayed the housings and blacked out the amber reflector
No pics of this step but I ran the relay kit, mounted my ballast in the oem location, and put everything back together. Definitely a lot harder than my explanation but you have to just do it to figure it out
The finished product! I'll get better pics once I clean my car and it's not 3 am haha.
the cutoff line! Hard to capture how crisp it is with an iPhone. The color flicker with the car coming at you is incredible. So awesome looking!!
Definitely my favorite mod I've ever done on any car. This was my first retrofit and couldn't be happier!! Thanks for looking guys!

Lol, cost too much now I can't afford a new camera haha I'll borrow my buddy's.
Total cost was around $650 but I bought an extra set of headlights for $225. So If you used your own you could do it for around $400. I just need my car and work so much that I couldn't go without headlights for the week it took me to do this in my spare time.

This is why...
Oem isx50 projectors are known for being one of the worst. No flicker either. You really have to see it to believe how much better other cars are. Drive an S2000 and you'll see. My output is very similar with my setup to an s2000.

definitely don't need to buy another set of headlights. This process should only take a weekend day. Just make sure you have all materials so you don't have to run out, or have a friend/family with a car to cart your *** around.
What HID kit works best with this setup.
