Ride Comfort on bigger wheels/stretched tyres
Hi guys,
This is more aiming guys with the Varrstoen 112's.
19x9.5 +22 / 19x11 +25.
Currently i'm on stock 17x8's and considering getting these wheels with stretched tyres. 225/35/19 and 245/35/19.
For those that have this very same setup, do you feel that your ride comfort is destroyed?
Suspension wise, i'm on KW Variant V3's.
Please share your experiences!

i didn't have varrstoens, but i did have a similar-sized/-spec'd wheel/tire set-up.
ride comfort was terrible, since the sidewalls that typically absorbs some of the vertical forces are being stretched diagonally.
in addition, unless you enjoy the sound of your tires rubbing against your fenders, you'll need to run stiffer spring rates and heavier dampening.
on a related note, most 2is owners don't realize the trade-offs of running aggressive wheels and stretched tires for the sake of a cool parking lot stance.

For those that have run this size, may i also ask how low your ride height was and what fender mods were required for both front and rears?
Also, if i did 235/35/19's for the front and a slightly bigger tyre size at the rear would this be a big difference in terms of comfort vs fender mods?
keep those responses coming, appreciate it!

I am running non-streteched tires on my 19" F8.5+235, R9.5+255 and I can feel about 10% harsher ride than my stock 17". To me stretched tire looks like a cripple. I like beefy healthy looking tires.

You're gonna need a serious pull in the rear to fit those wheels. Haha, depending on how low you go at least. If you wanna be somewhat low, you're gonna needa a pretty serious pull and a lot of fender liner cutting. Rubber band tires obviously lose ride quality, and the fact that you need stiffer suspension to prevent rubbing also contributes to a crappier ride quality. Run 215/35-19 245/35-19 with a big pull in the rear, and then have the fronts rolled flat and pulled a bit.
All in all, you get used to the stiff ride quality. You won't notice it after a while unless you're on a REALLY bad road.

Ride is gonna be horrible. Youre gonna have to stiffen your ride quite a bit. Less side wall = harsher ride but you gotta clear your fenders as much as you can.
