I just bought a 46k 08 IS250 which wasn't the best choice coming from an Acura Tl type S, I got a great deal through my dealer now owning this for 16,200 back to finance. it's a hundred hp lower then the 350 but what mods if any will help increase hp while still retaining that killer deal. I plan on doing brakes and wheels in the near future. but need a little more umph behind the gas pedal.

From what I understand, you can't increase the horsepower much. I think you can increase the IS250 by 20HP max with a few thousand $.

Your best bet is to get an IS350 for more hp.

Thats what I gather from research, but what about adding a turbo? I may just drive it, put the wheels on and look for a steal on a 350.

You can't add a turbo ... you can change intake, header, and exhaust.

with all the money you will spend trying to get a working supercharger / turbo (piping oil catch turbo/charger bov pulley meth etc then trying to get it to work without codes etc) you might as well buy an ISF

You can get a throttle controller if you want it to feel more lively when you hit the gas, but it wont actually add any power. But yeah if you want real power, trading for an IS350 or an IS-F are pretty much your options.

you might be disappointed with the 250... when I first test drove the IS250 then the 350 after I wouldn't like to go back to the 250

But if it's only use for daily commute to and from work... the IS250 will be just fine
