Default Climate control

30 degrees outside, interior temp set at 70, cold air is blowing instead of heat. Have to turn the climate control off because it keeps blowing cold air instead of hot. Any ideas?

Just like neomedic said let the car warm up, the heating system works of the hot collant. If the engine is not up to operating temperture the collant can't heat up the coils so the blower blows warm air.

The car is fully warmed up when this happens. My wife complains about the cold air and has to turn the climate control off as a result.

My wife swears she can feel cold air sometimes, too! I normally just turn off the fan, then set it to recirculate.

Where does she say the cold air is hitting her? Face? Feet?

what mode do you have it in? Anything with the defrost symbol included turns on the AC condenser to help remove humidity from the cabin even though the their is no indication the AC is on.

I sometimes notice cooler air blowing when I have to switch to a defrost mode for whatever reason.

She has it on Auto w/ a/c on and refresh air (non re-circ). I've asked her to turn the a/c off and see what happens.
