Yamejoo, my apologies. MikeFig82 is corrrect. Part 35330-30080 is for AWD application. Meant to return and edit, thank you MikeFig82. Trans filter part 35330-50020, I believe is correct.

Good Call, I recently had a cel light @ 140k miles for slipping components, drained my fluid and it was black smelt burnt. New oil fixed it and driving felt smoother.

Lexus dealerships are not "Lexus Factory". They are just trained personnel with torque wrenches (even that last one I doubt!)
The owner manual (the one written by manufacturers) say's that ATF is to be changed every 100k miles (=160k km).

-----> So where on earth did people create the idea of a "life-time" ATF? Sorry but that is just BS!

This is how the ATF change "can" be made:
0. Remove gearbox plastic covers, etc.... You probably will find lots of rust over there.
1. Remove the lower gearbox fluid pan (lots of screws)
2. Drain fluid (it will drain on you for sure!)
4. Remove ATF filter (or Strainer Assembly)
5. Fix a new ATF filter ( or Strainer Assembly) (35330-50020)
6. Fix a new gasket (35168-60010)
7. Fix the pan.
8. Fill the specific amount of fluid for your car. And only use original Toyota ATF fluid. Owner manul will tell you which fluid grade........
9. Heat the car and do the regular oil level checkup
--> mind all torque values
--> part numbers are for 2007 IS300.

With this procedure, you will get to see how much metal debris/powder exists on the magnets (35394-30011) at the fluid pan. Indicator of transmission health? Maybe
This should end the debate on ATF change once and for all.

Lexus' factory maintenance schedules as written in their published manuals vary from country to country among other conditions. Canada typically follows the "severe conditions" schedule and included transmission fluid changes for the IS, however the standard USA schedule did not include it. This can be seen in several places, including publicly on the published maintenance schedule on Lexus.com, which only includes "Inspect Transmission for Signs of Leakage" every 30,000 miles.

Lexus factory documentation also states without question that the transmission filter is not a maintenance item.

I get it, I've never seen this TSB here in my region, the dealer here recommended 100k miles change.
And just to add to the debate:

What does "The use of Genuine Toyota ATF-WS is recommended" mean? I mean when are we to use that ATF? Only when adding is required?

Just to agree with what you mentioned: the owner's manual schedules inspection each 24k miles or two years:

And changing with below conditions:

Genuine WS ATF is to be used when repairing the vehicle

Though there is this curious bit Lexus says at one point as well:

Service Tip

If a vehicle with a transmission that requires ATF WS is replenished with another type of ATF, the transmission might not engage at extremely low temperatures. However, the transmission might engage after it has been warmed up for a few minutes.

I was able to locate and purchase (if wanted), the items below from Lexus dealership without issue;
2005 - 2013 IS 350 RWD ;
35168-60010 - Gasket, Transmission Pan

35330-50020 - Filter, Transmission Oil
90301-31014 - O-Ring, Transmission Filter
As for having the service performed, thought I'd inquire at a few Toyota dealerships. Each had the 00289-ATFWS /Toyota Genuine automatic trans fluid in stock, and would perform the service if I provided the Lexus parts required for the fluid change. Service managers did state that transmision was a sealed unit that did not require service. One would only provide quote for a full transmission flush (no drain and fill). The other agreed to the additional service of dropping transmission pan and replacing filter / strainer with complete fluid flush however, would have to view vehicle to determine the additional cost of added service. Quote received for just the flush was $260 - $280. If i recall correctly, service manager at one location stated he would not recommend flush service if vehicle mileage was over 130,00 miles.

I had my Transmission fluid flushed at my local Toyota dealership. I was right at 105k miles. I've never believed in a lifetime fluid and the dealership even said that 100k miles is when they recommend doing it. I was pleasantly surprised that they had the adapter to do it as the closest Lexus dealer is an hour away form me and they only do appointments. I've made up my mind that from now on, I'm going to have them do the transmission fluid every 50k miles. same thing with the differential fluid. I got one of the technicians here at my dealership to do the diff for me so it comes out a lot cheaper than taking it to the Toyota dealership.

The diff is a must too (in my pinion)!
What was the colour of the diff fluid that cam out? In case you are a curious observer like me!

I didn't get a chance to see it myself, but my technician told me it was dark, which was expected as it hadn't been done for 100k miles. I think 50k mile intervals are a safe bet for diff services at this point. I haven't had a single problem with this drive train since I've had it.

The stigma associated with pressure flushing automatic transmissions comes mostly from older cars that have a lot of dirt/sludge in the transmission nooks and trannies after 100,000+ miles. The power flusher can loosen this crud which than can gunk up valves and solenoids.

As far as "Lifetime Fluid" is concerned, how do you think Lexus touts it "lowest cost of ownership" figures? (If you don't maintain the car, it doesn't cost you anything in "routine" maintenance!)

Has someone changed the transmission fluid themselves? Interested in knowing if, after filling transmission with fluid and reinstalling the 14mm drain bolt and installing new fluid via the 24mm fill bolt hole and re-installing, if a scan tool and temp sensor were used to confirm vehicle reaches operating temp of 102 - 120 degrees (or just let vehicle idle for five minutes without use of scan tool / sensor), before opening the 6mm overflow plug to release any excess fluid. In previously posted video tutorial, it's stated that letting vehicle reach temp above 120 degrees, may cause fluid to begin expanding causing inaccurate reading.The document below outline the procedure for 2013 Lexus GS 350 AWD however, believe the procedure (fluid amount may vary) is also same for the 06 - 2013 IS 350;

Jeff, is there a washer / gasket present or not for the following? If so, should they be replaced and would you have the part numbers (2005-2013 IS350 RWD / A760E):
14mm drain plug
24mm fill plug (torque to 29 ft-lbs)
6mm overflow plug.(torque to 15 ft-lbs)

Also, could you or another member confirm why Toyota 00289 - ATFWS has different labels (was one an updated label)?

Toyota updates their packaging and labeling on a semi-regular basis. The first is the newer label, but doesn't necessarily indicate newer product, as regional distributors may still be using older packaging.
