Default Who has gone beyond 60k without changing spark plugs?

My IS250 is at 59K, I called an indy lexus shop to check for the price of doing the spark plugs, he told me the car has iridium plugs so no need to change, and I can go another 30K before worrying about the plugs. This guys has great reviews for being honest and all, but is he being to casual about the manufacturer's recommendation? He said if I want he will change for me but it's not necessary. Has anyone gone to 70K or 80K before changing plugs? Thanks.

i'm approaching 70k and hasn't replaced mine although i've been planning on ordering a set from sewell for a month now, just trying to figure out what else to buy so i could save on shipping.

last time i talked to CL member - PaPaHoff, he told he he's got 90k and still hasn't replaced the plugs.

Bought my camaro in 2001, it now has 120k on it, never changed the plugs - starts up on the 2nd or 3rd revolution just like always. Not even sure if it has the Iradium plugs.

All I can say is that if there's anyone I'm going to trust with the ultimate answer to "should I change my spark plugs or not", it's going to be the designer and manufacturer of the vehicle - Lexus.

Truth. Im at 54k and going to do it soon, but mainly because I have headers coming, so might as well knock out both at the same time.

I didn't do mine until 85k miles. Realized I needed to change them while I was putting on my nitrous, they were trashed! It's cheap and easy enough to replace them so I'm just going to start doing it every 40-50k miles.

I just had mine done this week (just short of 60,000). It was $255 at a Lexus dealer (I had a 15% off Lexus coupon). Worth it to me for peace of mind.

I'm at 78,xxx and I have the plugs ready to change. The car does feel sluggish sometimes compared to when I bought it. and gas mileage not as good now. It's time but it made it fine with no major problems.

Did mine at 113k (it was done at 60k as well) and spark plugs did not look good.
I suggest follow the manufactures recommendations and do it every 60k

Follow the Lexus guidelines. It's fairly cheap. Do it at 60k
