Car is in for the carbon build up right now. Getting new rings, etc. 2007 IS250 AWD

I just emailed my service adviser about the rattle on startup noise (cam gear something?) hopefully he'll fix that too.

It's had the fuel gasket tightening recall..

I've got 3000 miles left till it's out of warranty. Is there anything else I'm missing on the powertrain side of things?

Oh well, looks like the TSB for the start up rattle doesn't apply to my car? My service rep called me back saying that he couldn't do it.

He is the most awesome person I've ever come across at a dealership so I trust what he saying is true, it's just too bad that I hear it all the time, so much so that I've started to "not hear it" because I've got used to it.

What do you guys think? should I just let it slide? does it do any real damage to the engine? I do want this car to last me 5 or so years, well past 150k.

i would definitely get it done. they should give u the option to leave it over night on cold startups is when it is more common
