Default 2012 bumper fitment on 2006 is250

Hey all, Was wondering if anyone tried or knows if the 2012 is250 front bumper will fit the earlier 2006 model. An ISF front end conversion would cost too much time for me to figure out how to fit properly since the dimensions of the ISF and 250 differ due to the engine size. So i decided to ask CL before any impulsive buying takes way.

It is basically plug and play, but you will need many parts beside the bumper, including, but not limited to: Grilles, fog lights, fog light surrounds, grille surrounds, upper brackets (under headlights), tow hook cover. Possibly fender liner/undercover pieces as well as where the brake ducts fit into.

There are a couple of people who have done it, perhaps some searching will lead to more exact details on what you NEED to buy, and what you can get away with modifying.

awesome, I'll dig a little deeper but it seems like all the pieces you listed could be carried over like the grille, grille surrounds, and possibly the fender liner with a little love from the heat gun. If I decide to take this route I'll be sure to document and write up a work instruction for it.

Definitely not on the grilles or surrounds, they are hugely different. Liners maybe.

Default Fog lights connector

Hey Guys,

I recently installed the 2012 bumper on my 2006 IS 250, but the fog light connector doesn't work. We need a connector with female h11 on one end and male x (not sure what size) on the other? Anyone know what the other end spec is? Also, any suggestions for where I can buy them??

Otherwise it was a smooth transition. I installed the 2012 headlights also, that took a little work, but it fit quite nicely in the end.

Thanks.

It time to get HID h11 kit for it, it look nice and you dont have to mod the 9006 female harness, that how i did to my car with 2012 bumper conversion
