Tow hook license plate
Hi! This is kind of a dumb question, but i been searching and looking up, but i can't find the answer anywhere.
http://www.gominigo.com/Lexus.html
I want the tow hook license plate bracket, but they're way overprice imo. Where do you guys get yours for cheap? and I can't take off my tow hook cover. Its not even on the Owner's Manual.

I remember asking a while ago on the forums and someone mentioned it but it was quite a good time ago so I don't remember.
http://www.rhoplate.com/Products-Lexus.html - This should work. Quick google search $60.

Looks dumb.
I use Loctite red double sided tape on my front plate and its been on there for a year and hasn't budged.
I can take the plate off anytime with a little pressure and it didn't leave any residue or pull the paint off.
The 3M red tape is nothing compared to the Loctite. I think the Loctite is rated at like 6lbs per foot or something.
Please note the front plate will not blow off, trust me I ran this thing in 60mph winds, major snow and rain. Its not something that you have to worry about coming off and being a flying object.

or you can make your own if you have access to certain tools... otherwise probably easier to pay $60.
go to your factory tool kit..
take the factory tow hook out...
cut the ring off the end...
drill a hole down the center of the shaft...
thread the hole you just drilled...
buy a piece of stainless sheet metal and cut to the size of your license plate...
figure out how you want to place the license plate and drill a hole on the sheet metal to attach to the tow hook shaft...
buy a bolt with low profile head that will thread into the hole on the shaft...
screw tow hook shaft onto car...
mount sheet metal to shaft and license plate to sheet metal...
Total Cost... Under $10.. takes about an hour...

I personally bought the plate holder from RHO PLATE, http://rhoplate.com/
I never put the front license plate on as many of us never did but i got pulled over one day and didnt want holes drilled so i purchased the RHO plate. Good thing i did because when i went to show the CHP first thing they did was attempt to pull it off..assuming i had double side tape!. The officer was pretty impressed with the setup because it didtn make any holes , screws in your tow hook and you can easily unscrew it and pop back on the tow hook cover. to pop off the tow hook cover i used a very skinny flat head screwdriver pop one side off..pretty simple.

I picked mine up from here: for $70
http://thmotorsports.com/grimmspeed/.../i-495146.aspx
Then I did a search for a coupon code and saved an additional 5%. Not much, but it helped.
I really like mine. It was easy to install and keeps the plate rock solid. The thing I liked best was the plate mounting back plate is as large as the license plate. Therefore, I won't have any issues of my plate edges/corners bending.
