As they say a pictures worth...
The early 2011 LED'd headlights (like most all of us with the LED headlights have) are a warm white when lit at full brightness.
The much newer REVISED LED'd headlights are a cool white that, to me and vroomin350, are sharper/slightly brighter.

Darrell at Sewell has said these are the NEWER headlights he is selling. But only references that they should not suffer from the paint issue that the newer ones had. He has yet said that they are or are not the revised LED headlights. I'm hoping they are.

Without the new relay.. You will have FAST Flashers... LoL

At the moment all of us DIY'ers and those who buy this kit, are running the LED's at 100% ..
Usually turned ON with one click of the headlight stalk.. They remain 100% when you turn to the second click to turn on the HID's..

We have one member on here who custom wired in some relays and etc etc to get them to work like OEM..
I dont have the time for that..

So mine are 100% all of the time.. when ON

Joe is there any way to re-wire the Sewell lights to work like oem?

Check out the posts from Jeff Lange. On another thread, he worked up and implemented a perfect solution to make the LEDs work like stock, like Sewell should have done before calling them "plug and play". You will have to be pretty good with wiring and relays like he is to install. I have his diagram and the parts to make the attempt but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Even if these are 12's there were very few 2012's that were built with the revised better LED's

I thought these new ones already came with the flasher witch relay swap?

The flasher relay comes with the kit... but you still have to install it - its not in the housing.

These are plenty bright. The pictures dont do it justice. I'd be worried if they were any brighter - especially at night.

When did production of the old LEDs stop and the revised LEDs start?

Is there a way to tell just by looking at a 2012 with the lights off if it has the revised LEDs?
