sewell offering 2011+ LED headlights for $1200
#331
I'm also very interested in purchasing these headlights. I currently own an 09 with halogen so I'd have to get the loaded set. My only concern is in regards to the brightness of the LEDs during the night. Does anyone feel like they're too bright? My second concern has to do with the warranty. Do you folks know if installing these would void it?

No. The bumper supports (brackets) are specific to the bumper. They're specific to the bumper as the brackets will follow the contours of the bumper. The brackets allow the bumper to be help flush to the headlamp. With different bumpers there will be different brackets.
We suggest using the existing brackets and instead of using the original 3 screws, you'll only use 2 screws to attached the bracket to the headlamp.
We have heard (hearsay) others stating the bracket requires modification however no details are available to support the statement.
We didn't modify the bracket in our installation trials so we would expect you would not need to either.

thank you sir
Edit: upon further thoughts...since I did indeed get the updated fsport front end, I would indeed have to update brackets (just to be clear)

Yea seems like this thread is being beaten to death...
I dont understand how some bumpers can be "different" than other..
I do know this... I HAD to cut my bumper brackets (2007) in order for the lights to sit right.

I installed these headlights on my 2006 Is yesterday and I had to cut the bumper brackets. The dust cap under the headlights gets in the way. The dust cap is removable and if you remove it you probably won't have to modify your bumper brackets; however, removing the dust caps will expose the electronics to dust and moisture which is very risky. Also, as others have mentioned before, only two screws will line up. For the third screw, I used a washer and that provided enough support to hold the bracket tight in place.
